Another change of venue

Another driving day, Te Anau to Dunedin, unfortunately leaving the best of the weather behind. Our stay here was to be overnight before heading to Christchurch and in a couple of days heading off to the States. What a gem of a motel we found here, one amongst a generally high standard but this place is really special, as good as many of the best hotels that we have experienced. Travelodge and the other chains at home have a lot to learn about providing value for money. Bluestone on George should be used as a benchmark for what the traveller needs on the road.

As the pictures show, Sheila decided that a celebration of her relationship to Irish roots was in order and dinner was taken at The Bog.

This was all in response to the overwhelming Scottish influence in the town, Rabbie Burns and all. I took no persuading.
